Will you provide food and drink?
For all day courses we provide drinks and a cold buffet at lunchtime for courses held at our premises. Please let us know ahead of time any dietary requirements so they can be catered for.
What is the CITB Health & Safety Awareness course in Letchworth?
This is a one day introductory course, delivered by Safety for Business’s Letchworth training centre, designed for people entering or working in construction or civil engineering. It covers core Site Safety Plus topics including hazard identification, manual handling, working at height, fire prevention, PPE, and legal responsibilities. On completion, you’ll receive a CITB certificate valid for five years.
Who should attend the course?
It’s ideal for new workers, labourers, or anyone needing a CSCS Green Labourer card. Safety for Business is a CITB-approved training organisation located in Letchworth Garden City, offering accessible, in‑house delivery at our training centre.
What are the course entry requirements?
Delegates must be able to read, write and understand English. You’ll need to bring photographic ID (and parental consent if under 18). There are no formal qualifications required, just the ability to fully take part in discussions and assessments.
How is the course assessed?
There is a multiple choice test at the end of the training
What happens after I complete the course?
As long as you have taken and passed your CITB touchscreen test you will get your CITB Site Safety Plus certificate, valid for five years. Which is needed to access your CSCS Green Labourer card.
Can I claim a grant or levy reimbursement for this course?
Yes, if you or your company pay into the CITB Levy, you may qualify for a grant toward course fees. Bring your Levy Number when booking or on the course day to apply.
