Book NowThe CITB Construction Skills Site Safety Plus accredited SMSTS training course is a comprehensive five-day program designed specifically for site managers and experienced supervisors in the construction industry. This essential training aims to enhance the management of health and safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with current legal standards and effective administration of construction staff. The course is suitable for those currently in or stepping into managerial roles who oversee the planning, organising, monitoring, and controlling of construction site activities. Participants will benefit from a focused learning environment with a maximum of 12 attendees, requiring no previous training but an understanding of safety practices is advantageous. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a Construction Skills Certificate valid for five years, underscoring their commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

- All relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working the building construction and civil engineering industries
- The need for risk assessment in the workplace
- Implementing necessary control measures
- Successful communication to sustain a health and safety culture amongst the workforce
Do you have parking available on site?
We have a limited number of free parking available on site – do give us a call to check availability on the day. Letchworth Garden City Train Station is also a 30 minute walk away for those who are travelling longer distances.
Will you provide food and drink?
For all day courses we provide drinks and a cold buffet at lunchtime for courses held at our premises. Please let us know ahead of time any dietary requirements so they can be catered for.

What are the steps to follow if a delegate does not pass the end-of-course examination?
If a delegate does not pass the end-of-course examination, they may need to retake the exam or, depending on the provider’s policy, possibly attend the course again. Detailed guidance on retake policies, additional support, and associated costs should be obtained from the course provider.
