The course not only revisits topics from the original program but also introduces new subjects to align with current industry standards. Limited to a maximum of 12 participants, the course ensures a thorough learning experience and, upon successful completion, attendees will receive a Construction Skills Certificate valid for five years. This refresher is essential for maintaining the high standards of health and safety required in construction management roles.

The aims of this course are to:

Improve awareness of recent developments in construction, legislation and health, safety, welfare and environmental issues
Identify measures that will assist the practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and new working practices

Do you have parking available on site?

We have a limited number of free parking available on site – do give us a call to check availability on the day. Letchworth Garden City Train Station is also a 30 minute walk away for those who are travelling longer distances.

Will you provide food and drink?

For all day courses we provide drinks and a cold buffet at lunchtime for courses held at our premises. Please let us know ahead of time any dietary requirements so they can be catered for.

How does the CITB Levy work in terms of claiming back money for this course?

If you are paying the CITB Levy, you may be eligible to claim back money for attending any CITB course. The process involves submitting a claim to the CITB after completing the course. You will need to provide proof of attendance and payment, and the CITB will assess your claim based on their criteria. Who will the course benefit?

People who currently hold a valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate or a follow up SMSTS Refresher certificate. Candidates must not let their existing certificate expire before starting the refresher course. Anyone who does not attend before the certificate expires may risk forfeiting the right to attend a refresher course and may be required to attend a full course.
