Book NowThe First Aid at Work course is an intensive three-day training program designed to equip key staff members with the skills necessary to administer comprehensive emergency first aid in the workplace. Building upon the basics covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work course, this training delves deeper into a variety of injuries and medical conditions, providing detailed instruction on each treatment stage. Ideal for employees in lower risk businesses and fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, this course requires no prior training, making it accessible to all staff. The class is capped at 12 participants to ensure a thorough learning experience. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a certificate verifying that the course meets the specified health and safety requirements. For companies requiring accredited training, special arrangements can be made upon request.

Do you have parking available on site?
We have a limited number of free parking available on site – do give us a call to check availability on the day. Letchworth Garden City Train Station is also a 30 minute walk away for those who are travelling longer distances.
Will you provide food and drink?
For all day courses we provide drinks and a cold buffet at lunchtime for courses held at our premises. Please let us know ahead of time any dietary requirements so they can be catered for.

The course provides comprehensive training on a variety of medical conditions and injuries. Participants will learn how to handle seizures, heart attacks (including defibrillator training), anaphylactic shock (using an EpiPen), diabetic emergencies, strokes, and allergic reactions. Additionally, they will be trained to manage choking, bleeding, burns, head injuries, and joint injuries, among other emergencies.
How does the course ensure the prevention of cross infection during first aid administration?
The course emphasises the importance of preventing cross infection through practical training and guidelines on hygiene practices. Participants will learn techniques such as proper handwashing, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves and masks, and the correct disposal of contaminated materials to minimise the risk of infection.
