Face Fit Testing is an essential procedure aimed at confirming the correct fit of respiratory masks, crucial for effective protection against airborne hazards. This short yet vital test ensures that the mask forms a tight seal around the face, preventing harmful substances from being inhaled.
Face Fit Course Details
Our course, ideal for anyone required to wear a mask at work, includes practical face fit testing, understanding of fit test protocols, and managing fit test failures. It’s designed to be concise, with each session lasting just 15-20 minutes per delegate, including paperwork. Up to five masks can be tested per hour, ensuring efficiency without compromising thoroughness.

Who Should Attend & What Should They Prepare?
This training is essential for all employees who use respiratory protection in their roles. It’s especially relevant in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and chemical processing where airborne particles and contaminants are a concern.
To participate, delegates must bring their own masks and ensure they are clean-shaven with no sideburns to guarantee a snug fit. Eating, drinking (except water), smoking, or vaping should be avoided 30 minutes prior to the test to ensure accurate results.
Face Fit Testing can be conducted either at your site or at our dedicated training facilities. The cost is competitively priced at £35 + VAT per delegate at our facility, or £175 per hour plus travel + VAT for in-house training, covering up to five masks.
